2008-09 | Junior Season
Mitchem posted the best season of his TCU career during the 2008-09 campaign as he appeared in all 31 games while earning 18 spots in the starting rotation... recorded career-highs in 21 statistical categories, including points per game (5.7 P-G), total points (178), minutes played (689) and minutes played per game (22.2 MP-G)... collected eight double-digit scoring performances this past season... scored a career-high 19 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 5-of-7 from behind the three-point line, in the Mountain West Conference opener against Colorado State (Jan. 3)... scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with three assists in 32 minutes of action on the road at New Mexico (Feb. 24)... scored 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-3 from behind the three-point line, to go along with four rebounds in a road victory over Colorado (Dec. 3)... notched 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting to go along with three assists in a road victory over Big 12 Conference-opponent Texas Tech (Jan. 6)... scored 12 points on 3-of-6 shooting, including 4-of-5 from the free throw line, in a conference triumph over the Air Force Academy (Feb. 18)... scored 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting on a home victory against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Dec. 6)... notched 10 points on the road on two occasions at Indiana (Dec. 10) and Utah (Mar. 7)... finished the season ranked second on the team in three-point field goals made (30) and three-point field goal percentage (30-of-79 | .380) and third in three-point field goal attempts (79)... ranked fourth on the team in assists (46) and fifth in total points (178), scoring average (5.7 P-G), field goals made (61) and field goal attempts (157).

2007-08 | Sophomore Season
The TCU sophomore gave the Purple and White an added burst off of the bench during the 2007-08 campaign after averaging 4.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game... earned his first collegiate start against the Air Force Academy (Feb. 2) where he finished with 10 points, including a trio of three-pointers, to go along with two rebounds in a season-high 26 minutes of action... posted a season-high 16 points on the road at the Air Force Academy (Mar. 5) after connecting on 5-of-10 shots from behind the three-point line... scored nine points on 3-of-4 shooting, including 3-of-3 from behind the three-point arc, against nationally-ranked Texas (Jan. 2)... scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting to go along with a pair of assists on the road at Rice (Dec. 29)... notched nine points on a trio of three- pointers at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum against UNLV (Jan. 30)... posted seven points and three rebounds in the quarterfinal game against UNLV (Mar. 13) in the Mountain West Conference Tournament... finished his sophomore campaign ranked fourth on the squad in three-point field goals made (31) and three-point field goal attempts (86).

2006-07 | Freshman Season
Mitchem appeared in 15 games during his freshman season with the Purple and White where he averaged 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game... scored a season-high 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-5 shooting from behind the three-point line, against Tulane (Dec. 9)... collected 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting, including 4-of-4 from the charity stripe, in a double-overtime victory over crosstown foes UT Arlington (Nov. 18)... scored 11 points, including 5-of-6 at the free throw line, to go along with five rebounds against Grambling State (Nov. 24) while seeing action in a season-high 25 minutes... scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting against Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 14) in his second collegiate game with the Frogs... notched six points to go along with a career-high four steals on the road at St. Mary's (Calif.)... scored nine points, including a trio of three-pointers, to go along with two rebounds, one assist and one steal against UT San Antonio (Dec. 6).

Prep Career
The product of Rochester East High School, Mitchem was selected to the All-Greater Rochester Super 15 Boys' Basketball Team... garnered All-City-Catholic accolades in each of his four seasons... selected as the City-Catholic Player of the Year as well as his team's Most Valuable Player during his senior campaign... guided Rochester East High School to a pair of Section V crowns to go along with a trio of City-Catholic League titles... averaged 25.0 points, 8.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game during his senior season... concluded his career with 1,162 career points as well as over 700 assists, 400 rebounds and 300 steals as a four-year starter for Rochester East High School... recorded a career-best 42 points against Rush-Henrietta in his senior season.
