2012-13 | JUNIOR SEASON Jarvis Ray emerged as a starter at guard for TCU as a junior before suffering a season-ending injury to his left foot prior to the start of the Big 12 schedule ... appeared in 10 of the opening 11 games with nine starts prior to seeing his season end ... experienced the injury during the Dec. 18 home win over Southern by landing on another player's foot following a jump shot late in the contest ... the injury forced him to sit out TCU's final 21 contests ... scored 10 or more points three times after entering the season with just one double-figure game ... led TCU in scoring once and assists once ... his 62 points on the season equaled his career total entering the year ... scored seven points and dished out a career-high three assists to lead the team in the season opener vs. Cal Poly (Nov. 9) ... was one of four Horned Frogs to score in double figures against Centenary (Nov. 12), finishing the game with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting ... scored a career-high 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting against SMU (Nov. 14) while playing a career-high 36 minutes ... led the team with 13 points against Prairie View A&M (Nov. 18) ... tied his career-high with five rebounds against Navy (Nov. 20) ... matched his career best with three assists against Southern Utah (Nov. 29) ... totaled six points against Southern before going down with his season-ending injury.
2011-12 | SOPHOMORE SEASON Ray saw action in 12 of 15 games prior to the start of the spring semester before sitting out the second half of the season to focus on academics ... tallied a career-high 12 points, three steals and two blocked shots in 21 minutes against Austin College (Nov. 14) ... chipped in a 3-pointer against Grambling State (Dec. 22) ... made his first start of the season at USC (Dec. 20), scoring two points ... also reached the scorebook against Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 11), Lamar (Nov. 30) and UT Pan American (Jan. 11).
2010-11 | FRESHMAN SEASON Ray saw significant floor time during his true freshman season ... appeared in 27 games with two starts, playing an average of 8.9 minutes per game ... scored a season-high five points on 2-of-3 shooting during the Nov. 16 home win over SMU ... earned his first career start Nov. 27 vs. Houston, scoring four points and pulling down a career-high five rebounds in 11 minutes ... also started the regular-season finale March 2 at Air Force ... saw a high of 17 minutes in three contests.
PREP CAREER Ray arrived at TCU as one of the top prep players from the state of Louisiana, where he attended New Orleans' O. Perry Walker High School ... led New Orleans in scoring average (21.6 ppg) during his senior season ... garnered second-team All-Louisiana Class 4A accolades during his final campaign ... garnered first-team Times-Picayune All-Metro laurels ... played with the Fleur de Lesi All-Star squad during his AAU career, which finished third overall at the Louisiana State Tournament ... guided his prep program to a 5-1 record in theSuper Elite Summer League, where he averaged a team-high 10.0 points per game.
