MWC Tournament & NCAA Regionals: Players Spotlight

NCAA Regional

June 1, 2007 - Lupton Stadium is home to the TCU baseball team. Although TCU won't be hosting this weekend's NCAA Regional, it will still be a "home game" for a large contingent of Frogs who will take the field Friday at 2 p.m. versus Baylor at Rice's Reckling Park.
June 2, 2007 - Steven Trout is a special player for the TCU baseball team. He's also earned the highest level of respect from his head coach and teammates. A senior from Hooks, Texas, Trout is one of just two Frogs to start every game in the 2007 campaign. June 3, 2007 - TCU sophomore first baseman Matt Vern is a model of patience. After seeing limited action as a freshman a year ago, Vern has burst on the scene this spring. Included in his key performances is the game-winning hit in TCU's Mountain West Conference Tournament championship-game victory.

MWC Tournament

May 24, 2007 - First-team All-Mountain West Conference selections Bryan Kervin and Clint Arnold began their collegiate careers elsewhere before deciding to come home and play at TCU. Their bond dates back to Connie Mack baseball during high school. The Horned Frogs' shortstop and leftfielder are enjoying seeing their baseball careers reunited at TCU.
May 25, 2007 - Standout pitcher Sam Demel and catcher Andrew Walker were part of head coach Jim Schlossnagle's first recruiting class at TCU. The All-MWC selections have been past teammates during summer ball in high school as well as the Cape Cod League. May 26, 2007 - Austin Adams and Chase Perry are two of six seniors on this year's TCU baseball team. However, they're the only Frogs to play their entire four-year collegiate career at TCU. Adams had arguably his biggest hit when his three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth tied the game in an eventual 9-8 victory.
