FORT WORTH, Texas - Two former Horned Frogs have been named to the All-Star teams in their respective leagues. Chad Huffman will be making his second All-Star game appearance, this time as a member of the San Antonio Missions, the Double A affiliate of San Diego. Jake Arrieta was selected to his first All-Star game as a member of the Frederick Keys, the Advanced A affiliate of Baltimore.

In his first full season with the Double A Missions, Huffman ranks second on the squad with a .301 batting average in 60 games played. He also ranks second in both home runs (6), doubles (15) and RBI (34), while tying for the team lead with 34 walks. He was selected as a starter for the Texas League All-Star game.

Huffman, a 2006 second-round pick of San Diego, was named to the Northwest League All-Star game in 2006 when he was a member of the Eugene Emeralds. The Texas League All-Star game will be held in Springfield, Mo. on June 25.

Arrieta has dazzled in his first professional season. The Orioles fifth-round draft choice in 2007 made his pro debut in Frederick striking out nine batters in four innings on opening night. He allowed just a .151 average against in his first ten starts and leads the Carolina League with 74 strikeouts. In 13 starts Arrieta is 5-2 with a 2.69 ERA.

He is one of three Keys' players to be selected to the California/Carolina All-Star game, which is slated to be held in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on June 24.
