Frogs crack Top 25 for first time in 2008

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs made their first appearance in the polls this season as they garnered a No. 25 ranking from Baseball America. The Frogs are 19-4 over the last five weeks of the season, helping to move their overall record to 33-16 as well as to claim a 1.5 game lead over New Mexico in the race for their third straight Mountain West regular season championship. TCU is also getting votes in two other polls. In the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll received 17 votes, while also garnering votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. The Frogs have put together an impressive last five weeks in tallying 19 wins and five straight series victories. They have won 14-of-their-last-15 conference games to move into first place overall. They return to the diamond on Saturday night when they open a three-game nonconference series against UT-Pan America. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m.
