The TCU Horned Frogs (14-25) will host the Vulcans of Hawaii-Hilo this weekend (Thursday-Saturday, April 13-16) in a three-game Western Athletic Conference series. The Vulcans are an affiliate member of the WAC. Hilo lost two of three earlier in the week to Rice. Last weekend, the Frogs lost two of three to Fresno State. The TCU-Texas Battle at the Ballpark was rained out on Tuesday and has been cancelled.

103rd SEASON OF TCU BASEBALL
This is the 103rd edition of TCU baseball. The Frogs have an all-time mark of 1494-1299-25 for a winning percentage of .538. The Frogs are closing in on the 2800th game in school history and 1500 wins. The March 10th contest at Hawai`i was the 2800th baseball game in TCU history. The Frogs are six victories away from 1500 wins.

HEAD COACH LANCE BROWN
The 2000 Horned Frogs are under the guidance of head coach Lance Brown (TCU, 1967). Brown, TCU's all-time winningest coach, surpassed the 400 win mark in TCU's 13-9 win over UTA. In his 14th season as the head coach at TCU, Brown has a record of 412-393. He is assisted by Donnie Watson, Barry Takahashi and Chris Connally.

WAC PLAY
The Frogs are in their fourth season in the WAC. TCU has compiled a conference record of 57-45-0, finishing second in all three seasons in the WAC. Last season, TCU ended conference play with a record of 19-10, advancing to the Championship game of the WAC Tournament. Always tough at the TCU Diamond, the Frogs have a record of 34-16 in home conference games. On the road, the Frogs have compiled a record of 23-29. This season, TCU is 3-3 at home in WAC play and 2-6 on the road.

TCU-HILO SERIES
When TCU and Hilo begin play on Thursday, it will be the ninth meeting between the two teams...the series is tied, 4-4... this will be the first time the teams have met in Fort Worth... earlier this year, Hilo won two-of-three from TCU in Hawaii... TCU won the opener, then dropped games two and three (3-2 in 10 innings and 10-6 in Kona)... Shawn Thompson earned the lone win against the Vulcans... he allowed two hits in seven shutout innings... in game two, Chris Bradshaw allowed only two runs, one earned in 7.2 innings... the Vulcans scored one run in the 8th to tie the game and then a run in the 10th to win... Chad Durham allowed a double off the bat of Dana McCracken in the 10th... Stan Newton suffered the loss in game two... in the finale, Hilo scored six runs in the first three innings off of losing pitcher Chris Frazier... Erick Macha and Ramon Moses did not play in the entire series... Mark Hamilton hit .400 (6-15) with 5 RBIs...as a team, TCU hit only .232 and Hilo hit .270... seven of the eight games between TCU and Hilo have been decided by four runs or less... behind the pitching of David Meyer and Scott Atchison, TCU shutout Hilo, 9-0... Meyer and Atchison combined on a one-hitter in the 9-0 win in 1996.
