FORT WORTH, Texas - The Horned Frogs rebounded to win game two of the doubleheader against the Wright State Raiders Saturday night. The bats came alive in the win as they pounded out 11 hits in the contest. Keith Conlon hit two home runs to lead the Frog attack. Chad Huffman and Austin Adams each homered in the contest as well. Jake Arrieta went seven innings to earn his third win of the season.

A six-run second inning put the Frogs in control early on. Andrew Walker was hit to lead off the inning, Matt Carpenter reached base on a bunt single and Adams drew a walk to load the bases. With one out, Steven Trout was hit by a pitch to drive in the first run of the game. With two outs, Huffman and Conlon hit back-to-back home runs to give TCU a 6-0 lead.

Conlon delivered again in the fourth inning, as he drilled a one-out pitch over the left field fence for his second home run of the contest. After four innings, TCU was in control with a 7-0 lead.

The Raiders (2-2) picked up three runs in the top of the fifth to pull within four, 7-3. Brian Shoup hit a two-out double that plated Wright State's first two runs of the game. An error allowed the third run to cross the plate, but Arrieta got Jeremy Hamilton to line out to end the inning.

Adams hit a one-out home run in the bottom of the eighth to extend the Frog lead to 8-3.

Arrieta allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits to go along with a career-high 10 strikeouts in the win. Omar Arif pitched a scoreless eighth inning.

The Raiders tried to mount a rally in the top of the ninth. They pushed across a run, but left the bases loaded when Brad Furnish came on to strike out Paul Majestic to end the game.

The Frogs (5-4) will go for the series win on Sunday afternoon. Game time against the Raiders is slated for a 1 p.m. start. Zach Ashwood will take the mound for the Frogs and face Garret Holleman.
