Was a four-year letterwinner at Argyle High School... earned all-district honors three times... also earned all-area accolades as a junior and senior... named the Area Offensive MVP as a senior... was a Texas Sports Writers Association honorable mention all-state honoree as a senior... hit .365 with 30 RBIs, 11 doubles, four home runs and 17 stolen bases as a junior... had a tremendous senior campaign with a .405 average, 40 RBIs, 16 doubles, eight home runs and 27 stolen bases... played for the Dallas Tigers summer league baseball team... was a two-time Dallas Morning News Player of the Week selection as a senior.
