Split time between the plate and the mound... made 44 appearances at the plate and six appearances as a pitcher... started 38 games and made six appearances as a pinch hitter... started two games and relieved four on the mound... of his 38 starts, 20 came as the designated hitter, 10 as the left fielder, six as the right fielder and two in center field... tallied a hit in 30 games and reached base safely in 33 contests... recorded 10 multi-hit games and six multiple RBI contests... hit .310 on the season with four doubles and three triples... collected 19 RBIs, 11 of which came with two outs... stole four bases in eight attempts... was 3-for-6 with two triples and three RBIs as a pinch hitter... on the mound he held opponents scoreless in all four relief appearances... allowed just one of three inherited runners to score... made his collegiate debut on the mound at Baylor... walked two and got two outs in the eighth inning against the Bears... tripled in the go-ahead runs in the eighth inning on the first pitch he saw of his collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 24... went 1-for-4 as the starting DH the following day against the Titans... started a six-game hitting streak with a 1-for-3 day at the plate against Oklahoma State on March 2... hit .500 (11-for-22) during the streak with four RBIs... was 2-for-2 in the second game against the Cowboys on March 3... had a pair of hits and two runs scored in the series finale against Oklahoma State on March 4... singled in a pair of insurance runs in the eighth inning as part of a three-hit game against Baylor on March 6... was 3-for-7 with two RBIs in the series against Texas Tech March 11-12... returned to the mound on March 20 at Texas State... pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts... collected his second pinch hit, RBI triple at New Mexico on March 25... made his first career start on the mound on March 27 at UT Arlington... allowed a run on four hits, walked one and struck out four in a career-high 4 2/3 innings pitched... second start of the season came on April 3 against Dallas Baptist... took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings... improved to 3-for-3 as a pinch hitter with a pinch hit single against UNC Wilmington on April 5... drove in two runs on two hits against the Seahawks on April 6... collected two more RBIs in the series finale against UNC Wilmington on April 7... started all three games against Air Force April 13-15... had two hits and two RBIs in game two against the Falcons (April 14)... pitched scoreless innings on April 28 against Manhattan and May 12 at Air Force... became the everyday left fielder on May 24... started the final 10 games of the season and raised his batting average 55 points with a 10-game hitting streak... hit .462 (18-for-39) during the streak... had a monster conference tournament as he tallied multi-hits in all three games... was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored in the tournament opener against San Diego State May 24... had three more hits in four at-bats against New Mexico on May 25... went 2-for-5 with two runs scored against the Aztecs on May 26... went 1-for-3 in the NCAA College Station Regional opener against Ole Miss... had a career day at the plate against Dayton on June 2... went 5-for-6 with a double, a triple and three RBIs... collected a hit in each of the next five games to close out the season.
