Played in 34 games and made 21 starts (5 at catcher, 16 as the designated hitter)... tallied 18 hits on the season, seven of which went for extra bases... racked up five doubles, two home runs and drove in 15 runs... was a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases... picked up a base hit in 15 contests and reached base safely in 22... made his collegiate debut off the bench on March 11 against Prairie View A&M... was hit by a pitch in his first plate appearance... notched his first collegiate hit in his first career start on March 12 against the Panthers, a double in the second inning... second hit was also a double, this time a run-scoring double against New Mexico on March 20... commenced a season-long four-game hit streak on March 25 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi... hit .500 (6-for-12) during that stretch with two doubles and four RBIs... had two doubles in the second game of the doubleheader against the Islanders... drove in a career-high three runs against UNLV on March 29... smacked his first career home run on April 2 at Texas State, a two-run shot in the seventh... hit a pinch-hit three run home run against UNLV on April 12... singled in the game-winning run in the series finale against UNLV on April 13... drove in a run as part of a 1-for-3 day at the plate against UT-Pan American on May 11... picked up an RBI in the Mountain West Conference Tournament championship game against New Mexico on May 24... finished the season errorless in his last 27 games played spanning 40 chances.
