2008 (RS-Sophomore):
Split time as a starter (six games) and a reliever (seven games).
Finished the season with a 4-3 record.
Posted a 5.35 ERA in 37 innings pitched to go along with 31 strikeouts.
Team was 5-1 in contests that he started.
Allowed just two of his 12 inherited runners to score.
Made his season debut on Feb. 22 against No. 14 Cal State Fullerton in a relief role.
Started against Dallas Baptist on Feb. 26 earning his first win of the season.
Tossed 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run on four hits with four Ks.
Struck out four in a start against Texas State on March 5.
Earned win No. 2 on March 24 against Dallas Baptist.
Turned in his longest outing of the season, surrendering just two runs on seven hits in seven innings of work.
Fanned a career-high seven batters in that contest.
Following an April 2 start at Texas State, made three consecutive appearances out of the bullpen.
Allowed just one run in 4 2/3 innings pitched over that span.
Picked up his third victory of the season at Baylor on April 8.
Surrendered just one run on two hits with five strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings pitched.
In his final appearance of 2008, went five innings in a start at UT-Arlington on April 30.

2007 (Sophomore):
Coaches elected to redshirt Paul in his first season after transferring from Division II.
At Northern State University:
Played his freshman season at Division II member Northern State.
Was a first-baseman when he wasn't pitching.
Hit .336 in 125 at-bats with seven doubles and seven home runs.
On the mound, he had a team-best 4.66 ERA in 13 appearances.
Made 10 starts and completed six games.
Led the team with 65.2 innings pitched and struck out 49 batters while surrendering just 71 base hits.
Held opponents to a .274 batting average.
Earned second-team all-conference and was named Pitcher of the Week once.
Filer High School:
Named all-area as a junior and senior.
Earned all-star and all-Northwest honors as a senior.
Selected to play in the Northwest All-Star game as a junior.
Was the Idaho 3A Player of the Year as a senior.
Had a .507 batting average and hit six home runs as a senior.
Compiled an 8-2 record with a 1.20 ERA.

Paul is the son of Phil and Jo.
Has an older sister, Anna, and three older brothers, Gabe, Vince and Luke.
