College Station - TCU's Alayne Thompson posted her fourth straight top-five finish to lead the women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the Texas A&M Invitational Cross Country Meet. Jackson Langat placed sixth, leading the TCU men to a 12th place finish. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the women's meet, finishing two points ahead of the Rice Owls. On the men's side, the University of Texas men won the team title in the 18-team field. Texas' Ben Dawson claimed individual honors.

Thompson, one of three Frogs to finish among the top-20, ran the 6K course in a time of 21:50. Also placing in the top-20 was Katrina Ziellinski and Heather Isbell, as they finished 16th and 17th, respectively. Zielinski, who finished in the top-20 for the third time this season, crossed the finish line in a time of 22:50. Isbell also posted her third top-20 finish of the season as she recorded a time of 22:52. Shannon McKinney finished 53rd with a time of 24:22, while Katie Cosgrove finished 76th with a time of 24:57.

Langat's sixth place finish was his third top-10 finish of the year. He ran the five-mile course in a time of 26:38. Brad Maciulewicz finished 42nd, running the course in a time of 28:59. Steven Lenney recorded a time of 29:17, finishing 54th. Raita Yamanouchi finished 84th with a time of 30:44, while Case Martinec placed 91st with a time of 31:06.

The Frogs return to action November 2, when they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to participate in the Conference USA Championships.
