Freshman Alayne Thompson posted a fourth-place finish in Saturday's Oklahoma State Jamboree Cross Country Invitational, her third top-five finish in as many events. As a team, the women finished eighth, while the TCU men placed 18th. The Arkansas men and Georgetown women claimed team honors.

Three TCU women placed among the top-50 in the meet. Thompson completed the 5,000 meter course in a time of 18:10, 40 seconds behind individual medalist Kathy Newberry. Katrina Zielinski placed 33rd with a time of 18:58, while Heather Isbell ran the course in a time of 19:16, placing 46th.

"Alayne ran very well," said cross country coach Derek Koonts. "It was a very good performance. She beat some good female runners today."

On the men's side, Jackson Langat led the Frogs with a 30th-place finish as he ran the 8,000 meter course in a time of 27:37.
