Her time also served as TCU's best clocking in a 6k event of the season... won the individual title at the UTA Season Opener, running 11:07.29 in the women's two mile ... also earned top-10 finishes at the Bear Twilight Invitational (third), Cowboy Jamboree (third) and Chili Pepper Festival (ninth)... finished 34th overall at the MWC Championships.
2009 Cross Country Kemboi led TCU in all three meets she competed in this fall ... The freshman was the top TCU runner at the Cowboy Jamboree, Chile Pepper Festival and MWC Championships ... She clocked a personal-best time of 22:21.55 to place 48th at the Chile Pepper Festival ... Placed 16th overall at the MWC Championships with a time of 22:25.7 in the 6K ... By crossing the finish line in 22:25.7, Kemboi earned the highest finish on the women's side since 2006 at the conference championship ... Overall, posted the 22nd-best time in the Mountain West during the regular season in the women's 6K.
Kapkenda Girls High School Kemboi competed in both track and field and cross country at Kapkenda Girls High School in Chepkorio, Kenya ... Will push to be a regional distance runner for the Horned Frogs in 2009 ... Comes from the same hometown as senior distance runner Festus Kigen.
