FORT WORTH, Tx. (Sept. 14) - TCU was defeated by Southwest Texas State, 3-0 (15-8, 15-2, 15-9), in a non-conference match with the defending Southland Conference tournament champions. With the loss, TCU falls to 3-7, Southwest Texas improves to 4-4.

The Horned Frogs struggled most of the night, hitting just .087 for the match, with a low of -.053 in game two. On a positive note, senior outside hitter Jill Pape (San Antonio, Texas/East Central HS) continued to have a solid outing, hitting .435 on the night (12k, 2e, 23ta).

The Bobcats only had one player with 10 kills. Shenequa Bedford smacked 10 kills in 26 attacks.

TCU returns to action on Friday, Sept. 17 hosting the five-team TCU Invitational, welcoming North Texas, Stephen F. Austin State, Villanova and Colgate to the Rickel Center. Matches begin Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m. TCU plays Friday at 7 p.m. against Stephen F. Austin State, Saturday at 11 a.m. against Colgate and at 7 p.m. against Villanova.
