Olympic Results

BIJING, China - Former Flyin' Frog Kim Collins advanced on Monday into the semifinals of the men's 200 at the 2008 Olympics.

Collins, who is running for St. Kitts & Nevis, clocked a seasonal best time of 20.43 seconds to finish third in heat No. 1 in the quarterfinals at National Stadium. Usain Bolt, who recently set a world record in winning the gold in the men's 100, crossed the finish line first in heat No. 1 with a time of 20.29.

On Monday, Collins qualified for the quarterfinals by turning in a time of 20.55 in first round action. The former World Champion finished in second-place in heat No. 3.

"It was not as easy as I thought," Collins told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "But I'm ready no doubt. I think it's going to come."

Collins will continue action tomorrow, while Virgil Hodge will open competition on the track in the women's 200 on Tuesday at National Stadium.
