DES MOINES, Iowa - The following are quotes from some of TCU's top performers on the first day of competition at the 2008 NCAA Championships.
Darryl Anderson
"We had our ups and downs today, but we had some qualifiers. It is unfortunate that both Virgil and Andon didn't get through in the 100 because of adverse conditions, but everyone had to deal with the same brutal wind elements. Overall, we could've done better, but we got some people through and will move on and do better tomorrow."
Joe Brown
"I'm pumped up after today and I got one more throw left in me on Friday. I decided today that I am going to go out and be an All-American."
Justyn Warner
"Today means a lot, especially since we weren't event ranked coming in here in the 4x100. We are just trying to put it all together and see what we can do going into the finals."
Mychal Dungey
"Overall, today felt really good. The finals are wide open for us and we just have to wait and see what develops. We came in today and did our best, but we can improve even more."
Kishelle Paul
"I'm just excited to make it into the semifinals, especially since I wasn't able to do that last year. It just shows that I am a lot better off this year. I am looking forward to competing tomorrow and possibly making the finals."
