FORT WORTH, Texas
- GoFrogs.com recently sat down with five of the TCU track and field seniors to get their thoughts on the 2009 Midwest Regional this weekend in Norman, Okla.
"Since I am the returning champion in the 400-meter hurdles, this meet is more than just a qualifying meet for me, its personal and I am looking to win. It's my first time competing in the 100-meter hurdles, but I am going into this meet confident that I can qualify."
"With the Midwest Regional coming up this week, I am ready to compete against some of the best athletes in the nation. I want to show everyone what I am capable of."
"I am excited to be going to the regional this week. I would like to be able to closeout my career qualifying for nationals. Since it will be my last chance to qualify, I have a little extra motivation this week to do well."
"I am very excited about running in my last regional meet. It has always been a fun and competitive meet. We have one of the best squads I have been on going into the regional, so I am looking forward to it."
"I'm excited to go to the Midwest Regional and actually compete this year. Last year, coming in with one of the fastest times in the nation, it was very disappointing to not be able to defend my 100-meter title because of my injury."
"As my last year in NCAA track winds down, I'm ready to go to Norman and help the team send a message. I would like to help my 4x100 team go out and win the regional title, which we can do. I would also like to make it back to nationals in the 100 meters. Go Frogs!"
