The following are quotes from some of TCU's top performers on Saturday.
Darryl Anderson
"I thought we had an outstanding day all around. For the men to score almost 200 points on the final day of competition was phenomenal. I feel really good for Jonathan Jackson, Joe Brown and Virgil Hodge that they could go out as champions in their senior years. We just need to keep getting better and the really big part of our season begins to start now with regionals and the NCAA's."
"Jessica Clarke elevated herself this week. She did a great job on the track today and I am very pleased for her."
"I am pleased at where we are. I think it was an eye opening experience for our women to go from winning the indoors to placing fourth overall, but that is going to make us better in the long run because they know I am going to keep pushing them to get better. We now go after our objective to be a top-20 team nationally and we are going to start chasing that within the next 10 days."
Jonathan Jackson
"I didn't really press today because I am getting ready for the regional meet, which should be a really hard competition. It feels really good to win though on my last time on this track."
Aaron Macklin
"It means a lot to come out here and run a regional qualifying mark. I give all the glory to God because this was unexpected and it happened at the right time."
Jordan Pitts
"Its means a lot to come out here and win both events. I am extremely proud of this because it was completely unexpected. In the 400 hurdles, I just wanted to come out and help the team. I knew I had a shot to win the 110's, but to win both is a great feeling."
Joe Brown
"This was awesome, especially since I am senior. I have been working for four years for this and to do it on my last throw here at TCU is simply awesome."
Mychal Dungey
"Today was great from a team stand-point. Last night, coach Anderson told us we had to step up today and that's what we did. Individually, I think I did pretty good, but I have to just keep improving."
Virgil Hodge
"I went out and got a good start. I finished the race strong with a national record, but I was a little disappointed because I wanted to run faster. I can't complain though with a personal best in the 100. In the 200 meters, I got out fast and finished strong, so it went really well."
Jessica Clarke
"Overall, I was nervous for the 400 meters, but I just started running down the straight away and got more confidence. My teammates got me through the 4x400 and it was really fun to come back and win in front of the home fans."
