The TCU men's outdoor track and field team has moved up five notches for the second straight week and is now tied for 10th place in the latest Trackwire Top 25 outdoor poll, released late Tuesday. The tie for 10th marks the highest ranking for TCU during the outdoor season. The Frogs are expected to score 19 points in the NCAA Outdoor Championships later this month.
Defending outdoor champion Tennessee continues to lead the poll with 93 points, while LSU, the host school for the outdoor national meet, is right behind with 87. TCU is the only representative from C-USA. The NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held May 29-June 1 in Baton Rouge, La.
The Frogs have recorded five NCAA automatic qualifying marks and an additional six NCAA provisional marks on the men's side. The TCU women have logged three NCAA provisional marks.
The Frogs will not be in action this week as they begin preparations for the Conference USA Championships, which will take place in Louisville, Ky., May 10-11.
