Flyin' Frogs Travel To Penn Relays
April 23, 2003 The TCU Flyin' Frogs will travel to Philadelphis this weekend to take part in the 109th running of the prestigious Penn Relays. Coach Monte Stratton and his staff will take 20 competitors to the meet, including 11 men and nine women. "This is traditionally one of the top meets in the country," said Stratton. "They really put on a great show and support this event in Philadelphia. We have some issues facing us in terms of depth, so as far as the relay events are concerned, we will be running only the 4x1 and 4x4 on the men's side and the 4x1 and 4x2 on the women's side." TCU has an impressive history of success at the Penn Relays, capped by the 2000 team which was named the meet's "Most Outstanding Team" after sweeping the 4x1, 4x2 and 4x4 relays.
