FT. WORTH, Texas - The Flyin' Frogs will be hosting their annual event Saturday, April 22, 2006, at the Lowdon Track & Field Complex on the TCU campus. The meet, in its seventh year, has brought together some of the top collegiate schools around the region and the nation since its inception in 2000.

The competition field will consist of 13 schools, including the 15th ranked Frog men's team and the TCU women squad. Other teams that have committed to join the Frogs Saturday are Arkansas (third-ranked men's team only), Arkansas-Little Rock, Missouri Southern State (men's only), North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State (women's only), Sam Houston State, SMU (women's only), South Plains Community College, Southwestern Christian College, Texas-Arlington, and Texas Tech (12th-ranked men's team).

Looking to defend their titles on the home track will be senior Kip Kangogo and the TCU women's 4x400 meter relay team. Kangogo won the men's 1500 meters, while juniors Deborah Jones, Jamee Jones and Nathandra John are back from last year's winning 4x4 squad.

The meet will run on a set time schedule, with start times determined according to the entries received. Field events will kick off at 10 a.m. Central on Saturday, with running events slated for 12 p.m.

Admission to TCU Invite on Saturday is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 2-18.

Live results will be available on the TCU athletics web site at GoFrogs.com.
