Reed Named C-USA Track Athlete of the Week
March 29, 2005 TCU sprinter Bradley Reed has been selected as the Conference USA male track & field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Dr Pepper Invitational in Waco on Saturday. Reed, a freshman from Greenville, Texas, recorded a pair of first-place finishes and NCAA regional qualifying times on the Baylor University campus. In his first collegiate outdoor meet, Reed won the 100-meter dash in 10.32 and ran the third leg of the 4x100-meter relay team that coasted to victory in 40.65. Reed, who finished fifth in the 60 meter dash and sixth in the 200 meter dash at the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships, becomes the first TCU track & field athlete to be honored by the league office in 2005. Reed and the rest of the Flyin' Frogs will next take part in the UTA Invitational at Maverick Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.
