TCU middle distance runner Jackson Langat has been selected as the Conference USA men's indoor track & field Athlete of the Week for the weekend of January 17, the conference office announced today.

Langat, a junior from Nairobi, Kenya, captured both of TCU's first place medals at the Oklahoma Indoor Classic on Saturday. The three-time All-American easily won the mile run, covering the distance with a personal indoor best time of 4:12.24, then went on to run the third leg on the Frogs' mile relay squad which posted an NCAA provisional time of 3:12.35.

Langat and the Flyin' Frogs will be in action again on Friday at the Leonard Hilton Memorial meet in Yeoman Fieldhouse on the University of Houston campus. Field events are slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. and running events at 3:00 p.m.
