DES MOINES, Iowa - TCU concluded action at the 2008 NCAA Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Drake Stadium.

Flyin' Frog senior Jonathan Jackson's bid for a National Championship in the men's triple jump came up short on Saturday after Jackson bowed out of competition because of injury. Jackson ended his prestigious career as a two-time All-American, while also recording multiple conference championships in both the long and triple jump. In 2008, the Grand Prairie native qualified for nationals by posting runner-up honors at the Midwest Regional. Earlier this season, Jackson, who is the most decorated jumper in TCU history, had one of the most successful outings for a TCU athlete at the Penn Relays by soaring 54 feet, 3 ¾ inches in the triple jump. The senior crushed his own school record to win the men's triple jump after winning the long jump on his first day of competition in Philadelphia. By doing so he earned College Athlete of the Meet honors for individual events and recorded the 10th longest jump in Penn Relays history.

Overall this week, TCU had six different individuals leave Drake Stadium with All-America status, including Joe Brown (Javelin), Mychal Dungey (200 Meters and 4x100), and the men's 4x100 unit consisting of Justyn Warner, Dungey, Andon Mitchell and Otis McDaniel. For 2008, the Flyin' Frogs had 12 different individuals record All-America honors.

Highlights on the week included, the men's 4x100 collecting All-America honors, marking the second time under head coach Darryl Anderson that a TCU men's 4x100 unit has received All-America status. McDaniel collected his third All-America selection, while Warner posted his second All-America award of his career. In Des Moines, Dungey collected two All-America honors in both the 200 meters and 4x100, while Brown recorded his first All-America selection of his career in his final outing as a TCU Horned Frog.

Seniors Virgil Hodge, Jackson and Che Chavez ended their careers at the NCAA Championships.
