  • Sat out the season as a redshirt while battling a foot injury.

    2003 Track

  • Scored points in both the mile and 3000 meters at the conference meet during the indoor season... placed sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:02.50 and eight in the 3K with a time of 10:08.96.
  • Set a school record in the 3000 meter steeplechase event to highlight the outdoor season... broke the tape in 10:57.65 at the Penn Relays.
  • Placed seventh at the Conference USA outdoor meet in the steeplechase event with a time of 11:10.01 and logged a 12th place finish at the Midwest Region meet, finishing in a time of 11:09.97.

    2002 Cross Country

  • The Conference USA Freshman of the Year earned second team all-league honors after placing sixth in the C-USA Cross Country Championships... finished the 6K race in 21:43.41.
  • Earned All-South Central Region honors after placing 23rd in the regional meet... the Frogs' top finisher covered the 6K distance in 21:51.
  • Was the Frogs' top finisher in every meet... took first place honors in the Sam Houston State meet, breaking the tape in 19:06 for the 5K race.
  • Placed fourth at the prestigious Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree, logging a season-best time of 18:10 over 5000 meters.
  • Twice honored as the C-USA Female Cross Country Athlete of the Week (September 24 and October 15).

    High School

  • Graduated from Jenks (Okla.) High School in 2002... lettered four times in both cross country and track for coach Martha O'Rourke.
  • Was the Oklahoma state cross country champion as a senior... earned all-state honors in cross country as a junior after placing 10th.
  • Earned all-state honors in track as both a junior and senior... placed fourth in the 3200 meters as a junior and third as a senior... also finished fourth in the 1600m as a senior.
  • Named Jenks' Most Outstanding Distance Runner three times.
  • Best prep marks were 2:19 in the 800, 5:08 in the 1600, 10:54 in the 3200 and 18:28 in the 5000.
  • Finished second in the two-mile run (11:09.48) at the Adidas Midwest Indoor Champion-ships held on Feb. 9, 2002.
  • Earned honorable mention All-America recognition after placing sixth in the 2001 AAU National Cross Country Champion-ships held in Orlando, Fla... covered the 5K distance in 18:56.3.
  • Was class valedictorian.
