2010 Talley finished fifth overall in the women's shot put at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships ... She also placed fourth in the shot at the Lobo Challenge during the indoor season ... Fast forward to the outdoor season and Talley set a new school record in the women's javelin, while also placing in the top 8 in the event at the MWC Championships ... Competed in both the shot put and discus during the outdoor season ... Her top-showing was a third-place outing at the TCU Invitational ... In the discus, Talley placed fifth on multiple occasions, including both home meets in Fort Worth.
Gordon Central High School Talley was a multi-sport athlete at Gordon Central High School in Georgia ... Talley collected the 4A Georgia State Championship in the shot put, while also earning runner-up honors in the discus at the state meet her junior year .... She has posted personal-best tosses of 44 feet, 8 inches in the shot and 140 feet in the discus ... Overall, she was the 2009 2A state shot put and discus champion ... She also collected regional shot put and discus titles three-times at Gordon Central ... Also excelled in the classroom as she was a member of the National Honors Society ... Talley was a starting forward on the Gordon Central basketball team, while also competing for the cross country team.
