Competed in just one event all year, placing fifth at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in the shot put with a toss of 15.22 meters (49-11.25)... did so with just one day of practice due to spring football drills.
Underwent arthroscopic knee surgery following spring football drills and did not participate in the outdoor season.

Lettered in football and track at Tomball High School.
Finished second in the state in the Class 5A state meet in the shot put with a best throw of 64-feet plus... ranked third in the nation in the shot put and was a two-time state runner up.
