Mitchell garnered first-place honors in the 100 meters at the 2009 Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships with a personal-best time of 10.26 seconds ... The senior, who competed in the 100 meters at the NCAA Championships, went into nationals with the No. 20 ranked time in the NCAA in the event ... Also placed sixth overall at the MWC Outdoor Championships in the 200 with a time of 21.22 seconds ... Helped the men's 4x100 win the conference championship with a seasonal-best time of 39.42 seconds ... Also led the quartet to a first-place showing at the Texas Tech Invite ... Ran the anchor leg on the 4x100 squad that finished third overall at the Midwest Regional ... Won the 60-meter title for the second-consecutive season during the indoor season with a time of 6.81 seconds.

Was part of the men's 4x100 unit consisting of Justyn Warner, Mychal Dungey, Mitchell and Otis McDaniel who earned All-America honors by crossing the finish line in seventh-place with a time of 39.60 seconds ... Mitchell, who competed in both the 100 meters and the 4x100 at national, collected a seasonal best time of 10.30 seconds at the Midwest Regional in the 100 meters to place fourth overall ... The nations No. 21 ranked sprinter made his first apperance at the NCAAs in a Flyin' Frog uniform ... Mitchell earned all-conference honors in the event after finishing in third-place with a time of 10.55 at the MWC Championships ... Also competed in the 200 meters, placing fourth at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships ... Won the conference indoor championship in the 60 meters with a personal-best time of 6.70 seconds ... Overall, placed first in the 60 meters at the Arkansas Invitational ...
