General
* Talented athlete Janice Thomas returns to the track for her senior season.
* Expected to have a big year as she has been able to focus on track full-time, following a standout basketball career at TCU.
* Expected to play a major role on TCU's relay teams again this year, as well as the short sprints.
2001
* Did not compete during the indoor season, due to her commitments with Jeff Mittie's TCU women's basketball team.
* Started on the best women's basketball team in TCU history...Helped the squad to a school record 25 wins, the WAC regular season and tournament championships and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
* Finished fifth in career rebounding despite playing just two years at TCU...Tied for first on the school's career blocked shot list .
* Set a Lady Frog single-season rebounding record with 257 in 2000-01...Led the team in rebounding in each of her two seasons.
* Competed in the open 100 and ran the third leg on TCU's 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams during the outdoor track season.
* The 4x1 relay team posted a season-best 44.19 time at WAC Championships, earning an automatic spot in the NCAA Meet.
* The 4x4 relay team finished third at the WAC outdoor meet with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:38.85.
2000
* Ran a tremendous leadoff leg on TCU's conference winning 4x100-meter relay team...Quartet turned in a time of 44.69.
* Was a finalist in both the 100 and 200 meters in the WAC Outdoor Champion-ships... Finished fourth in the 100 in 11.81 and fifth in the 200 in 24.08...Those were also her best clockings of the season.
1998-99 (West Los Angeles College)
* Played basketball for one season at West Los Angeles College in Culver City, Calif.
* Was the runner-up for the Southern California Junior College Player of the Year Award as a sophomore.
High School
* Attended Dorsey High School in Los Angeles.
* Earned three letters in track and field and one in basketball... Named MVP on her basketball team as a senior.
