Competed in the long jump and triple jump during the indoor season ... finished second in the long jump at the C-USA Indoor Championships with a season-best mark of 23-9 meters ... also earned silver-medal honors in the triple jump with a mark of 49-8.50 meters ... did not compete during the outdoor season.

2004
Competed in both the long and triple jumps during his freshman campaign, showing solid improvement as the year progressed ... did not compete at the C-USA meet during the indoor season ... first three competitions in the long jump in the outdoor season yielded nothing better than a jump of 7.18 meters, but turned in nothing less than 7.34 meters over his final four competitions ... finished second at the C-USA meet in the long jump with a mark of 7.34 meters (24-01.00) ... also placed fourth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 15.06 meters (49-05.00) ... saved his best effort of the season for the Midwest Regional ... long jumped 7.75 meters (25-05.25) to place fifth and earn an automatic trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... placed 11th at the NCAA outdoor meet with a jump of 7.64 meters (25-00.75).

High School
Lettered in football, cross country and track & field at South Grand Prairie High School ... coached by Barry Lucy and former TCU assistant track coach Sam Hume ... was the high school decathlon champion in 2003 and earned all-America status in both 2002 and 2003 ... ranked among the nation's top 10 in the long and triple jump and in the decathlon ... was a two-time all-area jumper, according to the Dallas Morning News ... also named the Sophomore of the Year in football.
