In the women's long jump, Gipson earned sixth-place accolades with a personal-best leap of 21 feet, which is the second-best jump in program history at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... By placing sixth overall, Gipson recorded the highest finish in program history in the women's long jump at nationals ... She also earned her second All-America accolade of her career ... Gipson headed to her first NCAA Indoor Championships after soaring 20 feet 9 ¾ inches on her final attempt to place first overall at the Arkansas Last Chance Meet ... The sophomore's leap, which just missed an NCAA automatic, at that point was ranked No. 15 in the NCAA heading into nationals ... It was also the second-best jump ever in program history and 14th amongst student-athletes competing in the women's long jump at nationals ... Finished third at the Mountain West Conference Championships in the women's long jump ... Gipson smashed the school record in the women's long jump to earn runner-up accolades with the second-best leap in Mountain West Conference history at the 2010 Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships ... Gipson, a two-time All-American, soared 21 feet, 8 inches to capture second-place honors with the fourth-best jump in the NCAA at the UNM Track Stadium ... Gipson earned All-Conference honors in the women's long jump during the indoor season after soaring 20 feet, 3 ½ inches to place third overall ... She also captured first-place honors at the Arkansas Last Chance in the women's long jump, while collecting runner-up honors in the triple jump in Fayetteville ... Gipson had a breakthrough outdoor season in which she collected All-America honors in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... She posted her first All-America showing in Fayetteville in the women's long jump, soaring to a 13th-place finish in the finals ... Gipson was the only freshman in the nation to make the finals in the long jump at the NCAA Championships ... She soared to a fifth-place finish in the long jump and automatically qualified for the 2009 NCAA Championships at the Midwest Regional in Norman, Okla. ... The freshman, who leaped 20 feet, 7 inches on her final jump to qualify for nationals, posted a personal-best leap and the second-best jump in program history in Norman ... Gipson, who came into the regional with the 11th-best leap in the Midwest Region, finished ahead of five of the nations top-30 jumpers ... At the LSU Relays, Gipson collected runner-up honors with the program's third-best leap ever ... The freshman was also part of a Mountain West Conference Championship 4x100 squad, helping the quartet claim first-place honors with a time of 44.66 seconds ... Gipson, a three-time all-area sprinter and jumper from Birdville, Texas, comes to TCU after competing in the long and triple jump for Birdville High School ... She posted a top leap of 19 feet, 10 inches in the long jump and a personal best mark of 40 feet in the triple jump ... A talented sprinter, Gipson has also posted a top time of 24.01 in the 200 ... Overall, she placed second in both the long and triple jump at the 2008 4A Texas State Championship ... Also excelled on the hardwood earning MVP honors following district play in 2008 ...
