Graduated from Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona in 2004.
Lettered twice in track & field and once in football... was coached in track by Bill Webster.
Set the school record in the 400 meters with a personal best time of 48.32... also ran on the school record-setting 4x400 meter relay team which clocked a best time of 3:19.5.
Helped his squad to the Arizona 5A state track & field title in both 2003 and 2004... his school also captured the 5A state title in football in 2002.
Named the school's MVP in track & field in 2004.
