* A walk-on who joined the TCU track program in 2001, Jamie Ford should contribute in the distance events at the conference level this season.
2001 Track
* Ran only during the outdoor season for the Horned Frogs.
* Placed 14th at 5000 meters and ninth at 10,000 meters at the WAC Outdoor Championships.
High School
* Graduated from Azle High School where she lettered four times in cross country, four times in track & field, twice in volleyball and twice in soccer.
* Finished ninth at the 4A state cross country meet in 1995 and fifth in the two-mile at the 4A state track championships in 1996.
* Was a four-time MVP on her squad's cross country team.
* Voted most athletic as a senior.
Personal
* Jamie Nicole Ford is the daughter of John and Jan Ford...Born March 27, 1979.
* Pursuing a nursing degree at TCU.
* Enjoys horseback riding, water skiing, snow skiing and running marathons.
* Turned in a time of 3:11 in the 2001 Boston Marathon.
* Mother, Jan, ran track at Oklahoma State.
