The top returning sprinter and long jumper on the TCU roster is back for his senior season.
A three-time all-American... earned all-America honors by running a leg on TCU's 4x100 meter relay unit in both 2003 and 2004 and earned an all-America certificate in the long jump during the indoor season of 2002.
Expected to be a leader in the sprints and relays... also hopes to regain the long jump form that helped him set a school indoor record in 2002 and jump over eight meters outdoors.
2004
Ran the 60 meters and competed int he long jump during the indoor season... finished sixth at the C-USA meet int he 60 with a time of 6.84 seconds and placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 7.23 meters.
Best marks during the indoor seaosn were a career-best 6.77 seconds in the 60 and 7.31 meters in the long jump.
Placed fourth in the league and 11th in the nation in the 100 meter dash during the outdoor season... fastest time was 10.23 at the NCAA meet.
Best outdoor long jump came at the TCU Invitational when he went 7.62 meters... placed 11th at the C-USA meet in the long jump.
Ran the second leg on the 4x1 relay... the quartet won the Penn Relays and C-USA crowns... was second in the region and fourth at the NCAA's with a time of 39.22 after running a season-best 39.03 in the prelims.
2003
Focused on the long jump event throughout the indoor season and the majority of the outdoor campaign, but was hampered by injuries.
Best jump came at the first meet of the indoor season, the Oklahoma Indoor Classic, when he leaped 7.62 meters (25-00.00).
Was fifth at the C-USA Indoor meet with a mark of 7.32m (24-00.25).
Competed outdoors only at the Penn Relays and the C-USA Championships... placed fifth at the C-USA meet with a jump of 7.38 meters (24-02.50).
Added to the 4x1 relay squad at the regional meet after an injury to David Spencer... ran the second leg on the unit that placed third at the region meet and placed sixth at the NCAA Championships.
2002
Improved his long jump in every competition during the indoor season, culminating with a fourth place finish at the NCAA Championships with a then-school record jump of 7.86 meters (25-09.50), one-quarter of an inch further than the mark set by Darvis Patton in 2001... was topped by only seniors Miguel Pate of Alabama and Walter Davis of LSU and junior Vaughaligan Walwyn from Rice.
Won the Conference USA indoor long jump with a mark of 7.77m.
Struggled with a hamstring injury during the outdoor campaign... still was able to win the TCU Invitational with an NCAA automatic qualifying mark and season-best jump of 8.01 meters (26-03.50).
Placed second at the C-USA Championships with a mark of 7.78m.
Finished 20th at the NCAA Outdoor Meet with a best jump of 7.20m.
High School
Graduated from Leavenworth (Kansas) High School and attended Queens Royal College in Trinidad... lettered in track and soccer.
Voted his school's most outstanding field event athlete in each of his final three seasons... coached in high school by Laurence McDowell.
Logged the top prep long jump in the nation as a senior (25-06.25).
One of five long jumpers named All-American by Track & Field News.
