Broke the school record in the pole vault at the Dr Pepper Invitational when he finished third with a vault of 4.85 meters (15-11.00).
Became the first TCU pole vaulter to clear 16 feet when he went 16-00.75 (4.90 meters) at the TCU Invitational.
Placed eighth at the C-USA Outdoor meet with a mark of 4.55 meters.

Lettered twice in track & field and once in football at A&M Consolidated High in College Station... coached by Brad McFarling.
Was a three-time district champion in the pole vault (2000, 2001 and 2002) and was a regional qualifier in 2002 and 2003.
