Chevaller enters her freshman campaign following a standout career at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas ... She was part of a 3200-meter relay that captured the state championship in 2008 ... Chevaller, who was a scholar-athlete in both cross country and track and field, earned four letters in both track and cross country ... The two-time senior award winner was named Spring Valley's Outstanding Athlete in track and field in 2005, while mainly running the 800 and 1500 meters.
