Frogs to meet Centenary on Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU swimming and diving team will travel to Shreveport, La., to take on the Ladies and Gents of Centenary College on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Centenary Fitness Center.
The men's team (5-3, 2-3) is coming off of a 136-101 victory over Utah in Salt Lake City. Senior Jonathon Berrettini remained undefeated in the 100-back in dual meets, while fellow senior Scott McCracken also stayed unbeaten in the 50-free in dual meets.
The TCU divers continued their dominant season by sweeping three of the four events against BYU and Utah. R.J. Hesselberg earned his seventh MWC Men's Diver of the Week award of the season on Wednesday after posting three more wins last weekend.
The women's team (4-7, 1-6) also had impressive performances against Utah, posting sweeps in both the 500-free and 100-breast events. Jessica Miles took the top spot in the 500-free with a time of 5:11.45, followed by Maria Alvarez (5:11.52) and Keilah Walker (5:17.39). In the 100-breast, senior Katie Rosen swam to a first-place finish in a time of 1:06.31, followed by Ellie Bradley (1:06.66) and Maribeth Pottenger (1:07.80).
Alvarez, a newcomer from Cali, Colombia, and Miles also finished first and second, respectively, in the 1000-free event.
The Frogs met Centenary earlier this season in Fort Worth, as the men posted a 57-42 win over the Gents, while the women cruised to a 63-36 decision. Last season in Shreveport, the Frogs broke four Centenary Fitness Center records en route to dominating wins.
The Centenary men's squad (4-4) is currently ranked No. 21 in the CollegeSwimming.com top-25 Mid Major poll. The women's team is currently 4-5 overall this season.
