OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Junior R.J. Hesselberg won the three-meter diving event on Wednesday to highlight the opening day of the Mountain West Conference Championships for TCU in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Hesselberg, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, set a new TCU record with a score of 359.80 to win a MWC individual championship in the three-meter dive. Hesselberg became the fifth Horned Frog to win a title in TCU's three seasons in the conference.

Freshman Kyle Callens also had a stellar showing in the three-meter event, placing third with a career-best score of 310.55.

The 200-medley relay team of Jonathon Berrettini, Cameron Allred, Josh Bagby and Scott McCracken swam to a third-place finish with a time of 1:30.43. The time ranks third all-time in TCU history.

The men's 800-free relay squad of Bagby, Jason Hauck, Jeff Hendricks and Ben Biefnes finished seventh with a time of 6:41.39, which is good enough for fifth-best in the TCU record book.
