Frog swimmers clip North Texas and Incarnate Word

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's swimming and diving team improved to 14-2 overall after defeating North Texas and Incarnate Word Wednesday night in a double dual meet at the University Recreation Center. The Horned Frogs finished with a stout 8-1 home mark this year.
Highlighting the Horned Frogs' night were wins by Kelly Wannemacher in the 100-yard freestyle (55.13), Michelle Pottenger in the 500 free (5:14.99), Katie Rosen in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.17), Tara Sullivan in the 200 free (1:56.57) and Leann Cathcart in the 50 free (24.33).
Kelly Seely, who earlier in the day was named the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week for the fifth time, won both the 1-meter (290.55) and 3-meter (274.80) events. The Horned Frogs also triumphed in the 400-yard medley relay and the 400 free relay.
The TCU women's team completes its dual meet season Friday at Mountain West Conference member New Mexico. The meet is slated to start at 6 p.m. (MST). The MWC Championships will take place Feb. 22-25 in Oklahoma City.
