This Season - Palacios will provide depth to the sprint freestyle events... will give the Horned Frogs strength throughout the season.
As a Redshirt Junior in 2004-2005 - Competed in four events (50-, 100- and 200-free and 100-fly) at the Conference USA Invitational.
As a Junior in 2003-04 - Joined team in 2004... redshirted the entire season... awarded the 2003-04 Academic Achievement Award.
2001-03 - Competed at University of Louisiana-Monroe... two-year letterman... placed 17th in 200-free & 18th in 100-free at NIC meet.
High School - Was an all-state selection in 2001... All-American in the 200-free relay... 2000 district champion... voted most improved swimmer.
Personal - Full name is Diego Enrique Palacios... born Apr. 7, 1983... son of Diego and Corie Palacios... accounting and finance major.
