FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 10, 2005) - After a three-week layoff from competitive action, the TCU women's rifle team will travel to Arkansas this Saturday to face off against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. The two teams will compete in a 60-shot air rifle match.

The Frogs will be looking to build on the success of their last competition three weeks ago in Reno, Nev. where the team was able to break the 60-shot air rifle record. Green also finished with a record-high score in 60-shot smallbore and Gorin set a new standard for 60-shot air rifle. So far this season, Monez' squad has broken three team and three individual records.

"I am looking for some solid individual performances on Saturday," head coach Karen Monez said. "The team is really excited about our recent success and is working hard to continue to improve the team average."

Making the trip to shoot for the Frogs will be Celeste Green, Tanya Gorin, Emily Conway, Carly Snead and Aida Garcia.
