FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Three TCU Horned Frogs were honored by the National Rifle Association as All-Americans. Erin Lornenzen earned the highest honor for the Frogs with an appearance on the Air Rifle second team. Lauren Sullivan was honorable mention in both smallbore and air rifle, while Simone Riford garnered honorable mention accolades in smallbore.

In addition to top-level marksmanship ability, NRA All-Americans must meet a set of qualifying criteria that includes not only marksmanship skill, but also grade point average, coaches' recommendations, and leadership qualities. NRA has been naming All-American competitive shooters since 1936.

TCU has had eight All-Americans in school history. Celeste Greene was the last Horned Frog honored, earning the distinction in 2003.

At the conclusion of day one of the championships, the Frogs were in fourth place.
