FORT WORTH, Texas- The TCU woman's rifle team will look to continue their momentous winning streak against the Nevada Wolfpack on Saturday at the TCU rifle range. The Frogs have carried their momentum since January with wins against some of the nation's top rifle programs. The two teams will try to strengthen their standings going into the NCAA National Championships.

The NRA sectional match will mark the second time this season that the Frogs have faced Nevada. In their first competition this season, both teams shot to a draw (4,614-4,614 aggregate scores). Lauren Sullivan and Simone Riford set the tone for the match. Sullivan posted a winning air rifle score of 590 and in smallbore, Riford led the way with a score of 578.

In the Frogs' previous five matches, the team has broken records, set season highs, and also made history by beating Nebraska for the very first time in the series history. The momentum is high going into Saturday's match.

"There is no doubt in my mind that this team can deliver winning scores, but they have to be tough from first shot to last," said head coach Karen Monez.

For Nevada, the season leading up to Saturday's competition has been marked with highlights as well. They have beat teams such as UTEP, Memphis, and Air Force.

The Wolfpack and the Frogs are somewhat familiar with each other, and should provide strong competition. Last season, TCU won three of four matches, one of which was last season's NRA sectional competition.

The Purple and White will start the competition Saturday morning at the TCU rifle range
