An active high school athlete, freshman Wendy Ward seeks to continue her athletic career at the college level by earning a place on the TCU Rifle team. She joins four other freshmen in searching for a spot on the competitive team.

Personal: Wendy Allyse Ward was born on March 21, 1981, to Clint and Mary Ann Ward. A graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington, Okla., Ward lettered three times in basketball, twice in softball, once in cross country and once in cheerleading. She also participated in band all four years. Involved with the TCU Band and Army ROTC, Ward is an English and secondary education double major.
