In her fourth year with the TCU Rifle team, Laura Walters has career highs of 995 in smallbore and 336 in air rifle. Both of those totals came at the 1999 NCAA Sectionals event in Fort Worth. Last season, Walters didn't see her first competitive action last season until Jan. 30, 1999. In that event, the Southwestern Invitational, Walters shot a 233 in air rifle and an 860 in the smallbore portion of the event.

Personal: A senior Nursing major and fourth year shooter, Laura Katherine Walters has excelled on and off the firing line. She is a graduate of Emmaus High School in Wescosville, Pa., where she earned four track and field letters and participated in cheerleading. She is the recipient of a 4 year Army ROTC Nursing Scholarship. She is the daughter of Wayne and Mary Walters and was born on Nov. 4, 1977. Walter is a member of Eta Iota Sigma Christian Sorority and Officers' Christian Fellowship.
