Got off to an explosive start with two high finishes at the Ole Miss Invitational on Oct. 2, taking first place in air rifle with a 595 and tying for second overall in smallbore with a 584...matched her season high in combined points on Oct. 16 vs. UTEP, shooting another 595 in air rifle and a 584 in smallbore...tied for first in air rifle with a 592 on Oct. 24 at West Virginia... took first place outright in smallbore and tied for first in air rifle on Oct. 30 at Murray State with scores of 586 and 593, respectively...tied for second overall in air rifle on Nov. 7 vs. Nebraska with a score of 592...captured first place in both smallbore and air rifle at The Citadel on Nov. 13 with scores of 583 and 596, respectively, with the latter tying her school record...shot a 580 in smallbore at Alaska-Fairbanks on Nov. 21, finishing third...fired another record-tying 596 in air rifle and took first place at Air Force on Jan. 16...took first in air rifle and third in smallbore with scores of 594 and 579, respectively at Nebraska on Feb. 6...tied the school record once again with another 596 in air rifle on Feb. 10 vs. Air Force...fired a 593 in air rifle in the NCAA Qualifier vs. Air Force on Feb. 12, good for second place overall...took home fourth place overall in air rifle and twelfth overall in smallbore at the NCAA Championships, shooting a 595 and 581, respectively... named first-team All-American in both smallbore and air rifle for the second straight season, and earned CRCA Academic All-American honors.

Nationally
Earned a spot on the United States national team for the Bavarian Championships in Munich and brought home a gold medal and a fourth place finish... was named USA Shooting Athlete of the Month in both February and May...competed in the National Junior Olympic Rifle Championships, taking home a second place overall finish by firing a 99.7 in the finals...took part in a total of four world cup events, taking home the gold in the Women's 10m Air Rifle competition in Changwon, South Korea where she also earned a 2012 Olympic quota for the US national team...also competed at the National Junior Olympic Championship, finishing with two silver medals in Women's 10m Air Rifle and Women's 50m Rifle Three Position.

Competed at the Winter AirGun Championships Dec. 4-6.... set a national record with a perfect score of 400 in the 10m Air Riffle Competition for a 1st place finish in the event on day one... shot a 102.8 to set a new overall record with a final tally of 502.8 in the finals at the Winter AirGun Championships ... on day two, she took home top honors in the women's and women's junior Winter AirGun Competition ... Fired a 399 to earn top spot in the 10m Air Rifle women's competition ... Combined with her 103.3 in the final, posted a total of 502.3 to finish as top performer in the event ... took home top honors for the third straight day in the women's junior Winter AirGun competition ... earned her second National Championship for the season at the National Junior Olympic Rifle Championships in air rifle ... competed in Germany at the Bavarian Championships and had two great performances ... on the first day, shot a 395 to finish 21st and on the second day she improved her score to 397, finishing 11th overall... also competed at the World Championships in Munich, Germany over the summer... took home a silver medal in smallbore 3-position after shooting a 585... helped the United States to a gold medal in the smallbore 3-position junior world championships... she combined with fellow Frog Sarah Beard and Ohio State's Amanda Furrer to take home the gold medal, defeating Germany by 14 points and the Chinese team by 11... the combined effort of 1747 total points (586 points from Furrer, 582 from Scherer, and 579 from Beard) was the golden standard that demolished the old world record by 11 points.

Finished second overall in the junior division at the 2008 U.S. National Championships... Captured the 2007-08 D and H League Championships at West Point... Captured the Massachusetts State Championship on three occasions.
