2011-12 (Sophomore):
Competed in 12 of the Horned Frogs 13 matches on the season... fired a season-high 588 in air rifle Nov. 6 at Murray State... posted back-to-back 584's against Army (Nov. 19) and previously-unbeaten Kentucky (Jan. 21) ... fired six-consecutive 580+ scores dating from Nov. 19-Feb. 16... shot a 587 in air rifle versus Air Force Feb. 16 ... scored a 580 or higher in smallbore in eight matches over the course of the year ... finished the season with an average of 581 in the air rifle event.
2010-11 (Freshman):
Competed in air rifle in five matches during her freshman campaign... opened the season against UTEP (Oct. 16) finishing 12th with a score of 569... also saw action against Kentucky on Nov. 5 (573), at Air Force on Nov. 23 (568), at UTEP on Jan. 30 (569) and against Air Force on Feb. 10 (574)... fired her personal best, 582, at the NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 12 ... competed at the National Junior Olympic Rifle Championships in April, firing a combined two-day score of 754 (379/375) to finish 67th in the competition... also competed at the USA National Championships in July, shooting a two-day score of 746 (371/375).
Prior to TCU:
Helped lead her rifle team to state champions in 2006, 2007 and 2008... earned Most Improved honors on the rifle team... had an average score of 255 out of 300.
Personal:
Dowd is daughter of Michael and Frances David... she has one brother, Connor, and a sister, Kelli... member of the Army/ROTC program... majoring in nursing.
