The following awards were chosen based on players and/or performance in TCU's 41-7 victory against San Diego State. The Frogs are now 5-1 on the season.
Pappa's Burgers -Sack Counter
TCU recorded two sacks in its 17-16 Poinsettia Bowl win over Boise State. The sacks were by Poinsettia Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player Stephen Hodge and consensus All-America Jerry Hughes. The sack by Hughes came with just under five minutes to play on a third-and-eight at the TCU 12. It forced a Boise State field goal that allowed TCU to maintain a 17-16 lead. The Horned Frogs closed the season with 43 sacks.

A 14-yard pass completion from Andy Dalton to Walter Bryant moved TCU into Boise State territory on its fourth quarter go-ahead scoring drive.
Armed Forces Bowl - MWC Breakdown
The Mountain West Conference went 3-2 in its five bowl games. In addition to TCU's 17-16 win over Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl, Utah posted a 31-17 victory over Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and Colorado State defeated Fresno State, 40-35, in the New Mexico Bowl. In TCU and Utah, the MWC will have two teams in the top 10 in season-ending polls.
AT&T Yellow Pages - Hidden Gems
Making just his second start of the season, linebacker Daryl Washington totaled six tackles, including one for a loss, while recording a team-high three pass breakups.
Albertson's - Turkey Counter
Albertson's donated a turkey to the Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth for every point TCU scored in the 2008 regular season. The Albertson's Turkey Counter reached 420 as the Horned Frogs produced a school record point total.
