Jeff Ballard Football Senior Friendswood, Texas Ran for three touchdowns and passed for one in being named Offensive Most Valuable Player in TCU's 37-7 victory over Northern Illinois in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Completed 19-of-29 passes for 258 yards and a 6-yard scoring toss to Brent Hecht. His touchdown runs were from 10, 1 and 6 yards. Closed his career as TCU's all-time leader in winning percentage (.905, 19-2) by a starting quarterback. Set a Horned Frog single-season completion percentage record (61.8) while placing first on TCU's career list (61.1) Did not throw an interception in his final 154 pass attempts Ranks fourth on TCU's career passing list with 4,204 yards.

Adrianne Ross Women's Basketball Junior Hobbs, New Mexico Adrianne Ross' two made free throws in the final seconds of the game aided TCU in defeating No. 17 DePaul in the San Juan Shootout Championship, 74-73, on Dec. 21. Ross, who scored all 14 of her points in the second half, was fouled with four seconds remaining and converted both free throws to end a 10-game win streak for the Blue Demons (10-2). She was named to the San Juan Shootout All-Tournament team. It was the second time of the season she earned all-tournament distinctions. Versus Syracuse, Ross recorded 15 points and pulled down six rebounds. She was a spectacular 5-of-7 from the field.
